First, Pettie is a “rat” who will take down anyone in the name of religion. This will result in a hung jury. MLB and many players should be concern about Clemens taking his case to trial as MLB and some players are going to be “burned” badly. Jā, saturs latviski ir sāpīga problēma. Un galvenais šķērslis tam – autortiesības. Kā ar tām iet, varam vērot pašlaik Ideju Foruma e-bibliotēkas gadījumā, kur jau itin drīz viss var nonākt arī līdz tiesu darbiem.
No savas puses mēs par šo tēmu domājam, bet ar kaut ko sākt vajadzēja. Ir vairāk nekā skaidrs, ka lasīšanai ir nepieciešama ne tikai ierīce, bet arī saturs. Mūsu pirmais solis ir ierīce.
Par “Made in China”. Arī Sony, Kindle u.c. eLasītāji tiek taisīti Ķīnā, ekrānus visiem ražo viena un tā pati rūpnīca Taivānā … Vienīgā atšķirība, ka Sony savām ierīcēm sarīko papildus kvalitātes testus pirms likt plauktā. Bet tieši to pašu dara arī amerikāņu Ectaco.
Bez tam – tas ir mans subjektīvais viedoklis – no lietošanas viedokļa – metāla korpuss ir vienīgais, kas izceļ Sony. Programatūra un failu pārvaldība noteikti ierīcei nav tā labākā – viss vienā čupā, plus visi faili ir obligāti jāpārkovertē speciālājā Sony formātā (PocketBook, piemēram, ver vaļā jebkuru standarta Word dokumentu, Ectaco – RTF), lai tos vispār varētu atvērt. Nav arī latviešu valodas atbalsta un visticamākais tuvāko 5 gadu laikā arī nebūs. Un pats par sevi – nekādas garantijas un servisa Latvijā. Trūkumu pietiekoši.
Taču, ja kādam stilīgs metāla korpuss liekas būtiskāks par to visu, tad protams jāņem Sony.
